The first private investigator who helped my aunt was a woman working out of a spare
bedroom with a laptop and a state license. She was better than the big firm downtown.
Nobody could find her, because the big firm owned every search result.

That is the whole reason this list exists. A good laptop, public records and a little
patience level the field. A woman running a two person agency deserves to be found
as easily as a company with a marketing department.

So every listing here shows its proof, and nobody pays to sort higher.
